Hello... :)

From what has already been found this link may help further confirm this is your family.

https://apps.gedling.gov.uk/bacas/search.aspx

If you choose Redhill from the dropdown list and put in grave number 2525 there are four burials.

Hello... :)

Here is a slightly potted transcript of the entry for the Railway Inn.
There is mention of directories but it does not say exactly which directories the information came from.

Source:
Mansfield's Hostelry History - Nag's Head, King's Arms...
by Barbara Gallon with David Bradbury (1997) ISBN 0 9517948 2 5

Railway Inn (occasionally Tavern) Station Street.
The crude railway from Mansfield to Pinxton, opened in 1819.
Extended to Nottingham and improved for steam locomotives in 1848/9

1831 - Joseph HERRET listed as a beerhouse  proprietor on Belvedere Street.

1844 - Jesse HERRETT listed as a beerhouse  proprietor on Bull's Head Lane, now Portland Street.

1848 - listed in directory , landlord Jesse Herrett

1866 - 1903 - William Fielding was landlord.......

This MAP might help it is from 1878 and over time Pubs, Inns & Taverns changed name and location etc. - it is useful as you can Change transparency of overlay to see where they were on a modern day map.

Station St & the Railway Inn is on there....

Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / Re: Look up request at Notts archives please

Hi Annie,

I saw earlier that Anc* had updated the Nottinghamshire parish registers but I cannot see that any have been added to at the minute, although they said the rest were due in late spring,  so maybe any time now  :-\

Whilst looking for some of the ones I was hoping for I came across the one you requested.
It doesn't mention Nottingham St Peter on the index, only on the actual page.

Just in case this is of use... :-\

There are quite a few Wills on FindMyPast which might be of interest ? =

Staffordshire, Dioceses Of Lichfield and Coventry Wills and Probate 1521-1860

Roger Bonsall - 1559 - Hartington, Derbyshire.
16 in Alstonfield. - year 1631  to 1850 ..... a few named Richard Bonsall from there.

Hi....

Yes, I was thinking that the grave might have their ashes.

Just a couple of things to add and hopefully at some point Ethel May will turn up.
I am looking forward to the next batch of  Notts P/R's next spring (fingers crossed).

I see that Hubert Harold  & Ethel May Bond were in Nottingham in the spring of 1926
34, Walker Street, Nottingham. Byron Ward ( which I think is Sneinton). source: F_M_P

I wondered if they went to be closer to her family especially if she was ill and the children were very young ? But if I have the correct parents for Ethel I think they had died by the time the Bond family were in Nottingham.

May just give you more information to look  :-\

Am I correct in thinking you have the Notts FHS Monumental Inscriptions ?

There are 26 entries for Morrell's ..... but these 3 stood out...

MORRELL Ethel M - 1912 - 8mths - Nottingham Church Cemetery - section St Anns Valley - sub section 01 - Grave number 8628 - stone number 1 - inscription order 12 - Common Grave number 8628
~ ~ ~

MORRELL William - 1913 - 43 yrs - Nottingham Church Cemetery - section St Anns Valley - sub section 02 - Grave number 8850 - stone number 2- inscription order 4 - Common Grave number 8850
~ ~ ~

MORRELL Annie E - 1914 - 43yrs - Nottingham Church Cemetery - section St Anns Valley - sub section 02 - Grave number 9015 - stone number 1 - inscription order 1- Common Grave number 9015
~ ~ ~

William Morrell married Annie Elizabeth Walker at St Paul's, Nottm - 1890

The little girl called Ethel that was buried in 1912 was Ethel May the daughter of  Charles Morrell & Annie E Freeman..... Charles was the brother of the Ethel May who married Hubert Harold Bond.

Hi nottsgirl1,  :)

We have Hubert Harold on our tree, he was cousin to our grandfather.
I don't know where Ethel was buried but not in South Normanton, she died in Nottingham and was born Sneinton.... maybe she was buried near where she lived/died or other family were buried? She isn't in deceasedonline records.

Hubert Harold Bond was cremated at Mansfield.
BOND Hubert Harold
Cremation Number = 7457
Date of Death = 25/02/1966

The grave at South Normanton must have been a remembrance memorial.
The grave is of  Samuel  Gersham Taylor and his wife Sarah (Bond nee Riley).
Sarah was the widow of Hiram Bond and mother to Hubert Harold.

Hello..... :)

Ancestry have approximately 75% of the complete registers for Nottinghamshire online  and intend to release the remainder in  late Spring of 2023.

Unfortunately Hucknall Torkard is one of those unavailable online at the moment.

The Nottinghamshire family history BDM records for Notts on CD is an index and only gives place and date of event..... but has been very useful for many of us.

I transcribed the details for you and hope this will help.... although no definite addresses is given.

Marriage - Fiche 38  - Parish Church of Hucknall Torkard - 26 Nov 1892 - after Banns - by William Walter Stackhouse?; asst priest.
William REYNOLDS, aged 22, Bachelor, occ Miner, residence Hucknall Torkard, Father = none given.
Sarah BAILEY, age 20, Spinster, - - - ,   residence Hucknall Torkard, Father = Edward Bailey, occ Collier.

Both signed
In the presence of : Joseph Allen & Alfred Allford
