I am so suprised and so happy at the picture of Rose's grave stone ,I remember my nan telling me about her how they said she was locked in her room for many years as a youngster they said she was mad whatever that meant in them days but to know she married and had children of her own fills me with joy, I feel I am now fully understanding the family ,thank you.

Strange as my nan Ellen Simons was a spinster when she married married my granddad Mathew Keane ,it seems to contradict itself ,I know she had a son Tom/Thomas Somins before she married my granddad but apparently she was never married before ,Ellen's father was Patrick Simons and her mother Bridgit Maiden name Sheridan ,Ellen was born 29th august 1904 in Johnstown, 30th september 1931 she married Mathew Keane and had 4 x more boys John,Michael, Noel and James.

Wow I knew we were a big family but your great information has proven what I though my granddad was one of 11 children 2 who died as babies and its actually proved the person who thought our great grandparents were the same is incorrect ,so more searching now on my Irish grandmothers side ,thank you so much for filling in the gaps . :)
