Thanks for that, this could be a possibility as I do have quite a few Ogston's in my family tree from that area. I will have a look into it. Thanks.

I am still having trouble finding the parents of Alexander Ogston (1701-1771). If anyone has any links to this person or if anyone has any advice for me for finding links this far back it would be appreciated.

Thank you so much for your help. After speaking with a few relatives, I can definitely confirm that this is the correct family. Mary was actually my Grandad's mother and Elizabeth was her sister. Samuel was my great-great grandfather. Thanks again for your help. It is greatly appreciated.

Wow, thank you for all of this. I really appreciate it. I'm going to speak to a few relatives and see if i can confirm certain information, but it looks as though this is probably the right track. Thanks again!

Sorry, I should have mentioned in the first post. Ronald's mother never married and kept the Grundle surname and all of her children were named Grundle too.

I believe that might be the correct family as I think I recall seeing some of that census information a number of years ago but had lost it. Thank you for that. I am just trying to confirm with my mother, etc that it is the right family but I believe it is. If you do have any links to further information that would be great. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info. I have removed the other names from the original post.

Thank you for the reply! I will look into that.

If anyone else has any links or information it would be much appreciated.

I was just wondering if anyone else working on their family tree has any links with the following people?

Alexander Ogston (b 1701 d 1771) who was married to Ann Scott (unsure on exact dates)
William Ogston (b around 1749 d 1836) who was married to Margaret Robertson.
William also had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Their names are Alexander Ogston, James Ogston, Margaret Ogston, Jean Ogston, John Ogston.

William and Margaret had 4 children. Their names were Mary, Alexander, Anne, and William.

If anyone has any links to these people in there family tree or any information that would help my research it would be greatly appreciated.
