Hi,

You are possibly right about the time and also I understand
the greek alphbet doesnt have any 'c' in it therefore the spelling could well be as you said. All docs I have are spelt with a c, but I always check the other spelling. regards tgw

Hi,

Name is Constantinos Macridis, married in Cardiff s wales in June 1945 to Irene
willis. He was a cheif cook in the greek merchant navy, father christos. This is what
I obtained from  my birth cert(down as father) . I dont have any more info, but did
get someone to check the natralization but couldnt find anything.STRANGE he also checked the seamens register for the early forties  but nothing. The marraige didnt seem to last very long so could have been 'a marraige of convenience'.!!
It sounds like  writing of To Kew for info might be my only lead.
Where did you obtain the name and birth by the way, thats new to me.
Thanks again, my first lead since I started searching 3 years ago. tgw
