I had also heard about the possible connection with Emma Louisa BODLEY and the Bodleian Library, Oxford, not really gone into this so cannot prove the fact.

I think your "Phillips Brickyard" in Exeter is interesting !

There maybe some connection to Bodleian Library I think
!
Perhaps through Emma Louisa SELLEY nee BODLEY family ?

Again it's so long ago that I searched this line of family ancestors !

Your aunt Phyllis married James Henry ROBERTS in 1936 NSW.

He had previously married Rebecca Nugent in 1906 NSW

James & Rebecca had a son b circa 1908.

Your grandmother was a sister of Rebecca.

James Henry NUGENT died 1895 (Typhoid)

PM if you wish.

World War One / Re: Aussie born & in British Army WW1 !!!

Still hunting for British WW1 record of James Henry ROBERTS born 7 December 1880,Perth,Western Australia.(Australian born)

Does any RC have access to Ancestry or National Archives data that gives a mans date & place of birth ? Also possibly his next of kin or marital status ? ROBERTS was discharged and returned to Australia after serving in France.

I believe Ancestry or National Archives now have Pension records of men who served in France with British Army known as Burnt Documents (WO 363)

It's likely James Henry ROBERTS' nok was his wife Rebecca.Perhaps he did not include this information !
