Hi,
One entry on 1861 Census stands out.
     Living at 45,New St,Buglawton;-

                       Maria Stringer,b.1802,Newcastle,Staffs,head,Washer Woman
                       Harriet Stringer,b.1842,Newcastle,Staffs,daug,Silk Piecer
                       Elizabeth Jones,b.1842,Liverpool,boarder,Silk Piecer.

Elizabeth is down as unmarried on the original so that needs looking into.I'll try and check BMD later on.
                                                       Cheers,Colin

Cheshire Completed Lookup Requests / Re: 1841 Look-Up-- Charlesworth

Hi Alli,
I've traced Rupert back to Abbots Bromley but I'm not sure how he fits in,if indeed he does at all.I thought that he might have been Samuels son but that would mean getting Samuel up to Abbots Bromley or Uttoxeter where the other half of my dads ancesters came from. The brother, in who's Will Samuel is mentioned, was James Charlesworth,my GG Grandfather.I've got him on the 1841 Census but he died in !850.Thanks for your time Alli,I'll get there someday,in the meantime my computers had a reprieve!!
                    Cheers Colin

Hi Alli,
Thanks for taking time with my enq.I've looked up Martha and her father and the trail seems to be leading deeper into Staffs.I think Rupert was born in Abbots Bromley,Staffs, although on the 1851 Census he appears to come from somewhere more exotic! My paternal G.Grandparents came from Abbots Bromley and Marchington but this is the first indication of any Charlesworth from there being related.
The computer is still under threat!!!
                                                                   Cheers,Colin

Hi,
To prevent GBH being committed on a computer could someone please find the family of Samuel Charlesworth B1784,Minshull.It should read,         Wife Elizabeth,b.1796
                             Son,James,b.1829
                             Son,Charles,b.1832
                             Son,William,b.1834
                             Daug,Elizabeth,b.1837
                             Daug,Alice,b.1839

The 1851 Census has them living in Wolstanton,Staffs and in his brothers Will, made in 1846,he is referred to as,my brother Samuel Charlesworth of Kidsgrove.

A computers fate lies in your hands!!!
                                                            Cheers,Colin
