Hi Silverhawk

Interesting discovery, so thanks for putting that forward as a possibility.

On my list of birth certificates to order in the future to see if that can cast any light.

Regards

Steve

I know this is an 'old thread' but just in case anyone is interested in folksinging the story. Leone (Lee) was my Aunt, her sister Sheila was my mother.

If anyone wants to follow this up, then I'm here now  :)

Family History Beginners Board / Achieving a Bucket List Entry

Hi All

I have now embarked on trading my family history having had it on my Bucket List of things to do Post Retirement.

Certainly is addictive, but I've been learning so much about my family that I never knew - plenty of 'skeletons in the cupboard' so far.

Most of my ancestors hailed from the North of England, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyneside, Durham.

Names of interest being Ellwood, Batey (Burnmoor), Stephenson, McDermott, Wear, Weir Ware.

Hope to find some links on the forum.

Regards

Steve Ellwood
