Berkshire Lookup Requests / Harwell Baptisms Microfiche
« on: Sunday 18 April 10 22:32 BST (UK)  »
Has anybody got access to the Parish Records for Baptisms in Harwell. I found the Marriages from 1559 to 1837 on the internet but no luck with Baptisms & Deaths. One chap on The CuriousFox Site said he had them  on Microfiche but I could not contact him. I am looking for William Elderfield c 1806 & Fanny Woodley c 1811.
I have their marriage in 1830 in Harwell.

Thank you everybody for all your help. I have sent off for Camelia's Marriage Cert so by next week I should know her Fathers name. I hope this will help me to find her.

Hi Kirsty
Do you know how I can access the St Margaret's Chapel Baptism Register. I haven't seen it on the IGI when I go through Hughh Wallis site, and I couldn't seen it on Scotlands People.
Does it go under another name?
Regards Gilly

Kirsty
Thanks for your help, I am meeting my friend this evening and I will let her know that the place of baptism is possibly wrong. I did tell her when I started to research her family roots that any information that had come by word of mouth would be inaccurate. This seems to prove the point as she was adamant that her great grandmother was baptised at the Castle.
I will go back to the 1861 English Census and work back from there as I had been doing before, I have her and her mother both living with Camelia's husband in Yorkshire.
Again thanks for the info.
Regards Gilly

For Sale / Wanted / Events / £100 Reward for information on Cadwalladar Lloyd
« on: Thursday 26 June 08 22:58 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the baptism of Cadwalladar Lloyd born c 1763 area unknown.

He married Mary Knight on 29th May 1790 at St Mary's Church, Eccles, Lancashire when he was 27 years old.

They had 7 children

Elizabeth 1797
Mary 1799
William 1801
Hannah 1806 all baptised at St Mary's Church, Eccles, Lancashire.

John 1808
Ruth 1812
Lucy 1814 all baptised at Patricroft Ind, Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire

Cadwalladar died 1818 in Worsley, Lancashire, and I have his Will but there is no helpful info.

I was thinking if everybody who reads this, looked in their area the next time they are in the record office or looking at Parish Record it would cover a larger area than I could do in my lifetime.

If anybody can come up with the right person, I could travel to them and exchange info/money.

I am only in the UK until mid September then I will be back next year about April.

Regards Gilly Allen

Hi Angel
Not sure if my last message went through

The 1841 Census does not give marital status, but I can tell you they were all born in Lancashire.
If you give me your email address I can foreward it to you from Ancestory.com ( it's allowed )

Regards Gilly
