He was wounded on the Somme offensive.  Gun shot wound to left leg.
Sent to Queen Alexandra Military Hospital, Milbank. 17th July to 7th August 1916.
Then to Polesden Hospital.

Thank you both.  In the Convalescent Hospital there is no date only the year 1916.
Just can't nail where I got the information of the leg wound or the location. Guess it could have been any time from March onwards.

Hoping someone may be able to help via war diary perhaps.
 1916 in June I have this officer shot in the leg. At Trone Wood. Don't think this can be correct. He convalesced in England later that year.
Want the information I am sharing to be correct for sharing in Remembrance.
John was KIA on 24th March 1918.
