Would dearly like to talk to the instigator of the enquiries re Cap't Patrick Alexander. You are obviously family. I am Patrick's Great Great Grandson My  Grandmother was Amy Parnell who was the daughter of John Parnell  who married Mary Eason. The Parnell side is extremely interesting. We know some about Patrick and still working on ships he sailed on. I have a second Cousin who is also the Great Great Grand daughter of Patrick Alexander who has done more work on the Banes - Harris etc
Would love to talk to you

i believe Farmer annie was a servant on her wedding certificate living at Burnt Creek Lanacoorie victoia its mainly about where she was actually born Newcastle on Tyne - Fyfe- Perth and to establish her actual age when she married she says 29 I believe 18 and my garndfather claimed to be 37 and was actually 49 - born 1823 Bankton (Tranent) Scotland.
My other mystery is what he did and here he was from his arrival in Australia in 1854 and his marriage in 1869 a it keeps the mind active

Shuan J That is a sixty four dollar question on her Wedding Certificate she says Perth Scotland there is mention somewhere of Fife but on most of the children's Birth Certificates it is Newcastle on Tyne.
Dad said she had a scots accent I have tried using her parents as William Davidson and Margaret  also Margaret Lanesoine  Found a few William Davidsons  but no daughter Annie although that may have only been what the family called her. On the family Bible which was hers it is Annie. She married Richard Wright at Tarnagulla in 1869 saying she was 29 although from the various dates I have it would appear she was 18 and by the time she died her age had gradually gone back to what would have made her 18 in 1869. my Grandfather selected land at Glenluce Victoria and they raised 7 children including a set of twin boys so she was obviously real pioneer and a good mother. But still a mystery - only wish I had talked more to my father about the family but at that age I was nt interested in geanology now I have spent the last 35 years tracking down the family history. Anyhelp always welcome and thanks to all for your patience helping me with posting an image :D
