Thank you for your help. This info is for a friend.
On my own behalf i do not have any infor on Daw or Balls in Dersingham but my 3X gtgrandfather was James Balls from Royden and he married at East Winch. Royden is not far from Dersingham but of course there may be no connection.

The Old County Gaol was in Huntingdon up St. Peter's Hill - at least some part of the building still remains. 
I believe there was also a prison at one time at the bridge end of the High St.
My grandparents started their married life in a Railway cottage situated behind the Gaol next to the Main railway line in 1904.

Any information on the Cross family or the Shepherd family in Whitwell, Derbyshire around 1800 or earlier would really be appreciated.

I have a William Spencer, born Sleaford 1826. He married Mary Hilsden 1836 at Hitchin on 9th June 1854. From their marriage cert. I know that William's father was also called William. Anyone know anything of this William who would be born around 1800 or earlier in the Sleaford area?

We are looking for information about the ancestry of both William Flegg b circa 1800 and Elizabeth Hill b. circa 1800 who were married at Dersingham on 16th Jan 1824.
Any information would be very welcome.

Has anyone come across any records of James Balls or Mary Hudson who were married at East Winch on 9 May 1811?  They lived at Royden ( near Kings Lynn). Any help would be appreciated. TMC.
