Hello everyone I am hoping some one on her will be able to give me some advice or point me in the right direction in regards to finding out information on my great-gran.
As far as what I have found out up until this point is alot of our family tree.
Where I am stumped is when it comes to where she was the 10 years before she died.
Her full name is Susan Fletcher Cosgrove or Ferris, She was born in 1894 in Kilmarnock, which is fine, I have found newspaper articles of information which may be triggering to some people, she was charged with attempted murder in 1926, when she tried to gas herself and her 5 children. In these articles it stated she was of unsound mind and unfit to stand trial it also stated that she suffered with fits of melancholia. I know she was sent to Duke Street Prison in Glasgow, but where it gets a bit confusing is on her birth certificate it states that she died in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and on the National probate index it states she was a general servant, although on her sons birth certificate it states she was a Mill Worker?
I know this is a lot of information and chances are slim that I will find out anything more than I already have but i figured it was worth a try.
Any help or advice would be so much appreciated. Thanks in advance
