Plas Uchaf in Llanfairmathafarneithaf is on the road between Tynygongl and Marianglas. It's now a caravan site.

Hello Trefbrys,

Henefail is a row of four stone cottages in Marianglas. They are on the back road going from Marianglas to Llanallgo.

Anglesey / Re: Help. Parish Records, Amlwch, 1847

The parish records for Amlwch are held at the archives office in Llangefni. There isn't a pay per view yet. There were many families with the Roberts surname in Amlwch. Do you have any more information?

Wynne,

I'm not sure if I have a connection. I was given some information a few weeks back from a relative who'd been doing some research in Llangefni. My g g grandmother was a Jane Hughes born in Llandwrog in 1841. Her mother was Jane Roberts the daughter of Cadwaladr Roberts , I believe her husband John Hughes was also from Llanidan (he was a labourer). Cadwaladr was the son of Robert Griffiths and Elin Cadwaladr of Llanfair y Cwmwd (Llanidan). I'll try to find out more. I wonder if Griffith was Elin's brother?

Anglesey / Cartwright - Amlwch
« on: Monday 12 February 07 12:21 GMT (UK)  »
I've recently found out that a gt gt gt grandmother of mine was an Elizabeth Cartwright from Cerrigman near Amlwch. I'm trying to find out more about this family. They probably moved to the area in the 1760's when copper was being mined at Parys Mountain. If anybody knows anything about this family can you please contact me.

Thanks

Denbighshire / Re: Roderick Williams and Mary Thomas of Garthmyn, Llanddoged

The Roderick Williams who died 1799 is probably the right one. Mary his wife died in 1766 aged 38. It's possible if they were about the same age that he died in in his 60's or 70's.

Tynyddol is on the main road into Llanrwst, so it's possible that Hugh Jones went to a different church.

Hello,

I'm looking for information about the family of Roderick Williams and Mary Thomas (mid 1700's). Their daughter married Hugh Jones of Tynyddol, Maenan.

Diolch

Anglesey / Re: can anyone help? Looking for William Roberts Amlwch?

I think I have and Edward Roberts born 1815 at Tanrallt. Could this be the father of William Roberts. Edward's father was Abraham Roberts and his Mother Margaret (Davies).
