Hi
Yes you are correct your grandfather is the brother of Julia Bertha Kenny aka Bertha Marie Kenny my wifes grandmother. According to stories told by my late wife her nan liked to change her name, don't know why. I've just looked at my tree, it's been about 10 years or more since I looked at the Kenny line and see that I have seven children for your grandfather with his first wife Sophia Mary Stroud and then just one, William George Kenny, born to his second wife Mabel Jean Asplin - no twins! I've obviously missed something.
I can let you have what info I have, and you can correct it, but the best way is by email which also means you can send the photo. If you would care to contact me on this address  raenbob(at)optusnet.com.au  then we can take it from there.
I think it's amazing that after 16 years this thread has become active again, RootsChat is amazing.
Cheers
Bob

Hi Stephanie, I have quite a bit of info on John Dawes & Rebecca Webb. John was a transported convict to VDL arriving in 1829 and Rebecca was the daughter of two transported convicts Thomas Webb & Sarah Smith. John, born 1809, came from Derbyshire and Rebecca was born in Launceston in 1823.
If you send me an email to  roberrtony(at)gmail.com  I can send you a lot more info and documents.
Cheers

Thanks very much Neale1961 & sparrett for your very helpful observations (and squinting!).
Just wondering if anybody else would like to comment on the era of both photos or do we all agree with Treetotal's assessment of 'Edwardian'

Thanks for your replies so far.
Even though the family photo is named SCHEFFERLE FAMILY we are not really sure it is that family. If it is then bride is Helena Josephina SCHEFFERLE and the groom Henry Richard TWITE both born about 1880 and married in 1899. Their first five kids, as in the photo, were born between 1900 and 1911. Which I suppose fits with the proposed Edwardian era suggested by Treetotal.
However we are still really not sure who is who in the zoo.

Hi
I wish to get an idea of the dates of the two attached photos please.
The large wedding group was taken in Germantown, Geelong, Victoria and I have no idea exactly who they are although I have a few candidates.
The family photo (sorry about the quality) is possibly the couple who got married in the previous photo.
Dating the photos will help in working out who they are.
Thanks
Bob

Right HD & Goldie attached are my transcriptions with red here and there.  Where I couldn't even think of a meaning for a word I have just put in the word as I see it.
You will notice I haven't even attempted the bottom sections of each page that contain latin so I would appreciate a little help there please ::)
Thanks & Cheers
Bob
