Midlothian / Re: William Thomson marriage to Margaret Mellon 1919 Musselburgh

Hi Annie,

As far as I can recall John and Sarah were both born in Northern Ireland. John born to Michael Mellon and Ann McCourt ( no dates for them as yet) I have John's death as occurring in Blantyre in 1900 (35 Watson's Land, Larkfield).
His wife Sarah is a total confusion due to the many spellings of her name. I found a record from Dublin, Ireland which indicates her birth under the name Sarah McLernon in 1818 to Hugh and Sarah Mclernon.
I can't guarantee the accuracy but this is the closest I have found for my 3x great grandparents.

My tree does need considerable tidying but I've just not had time recently.

Hope this is of some help,

Louise

Hi Patricia,
Not sure if you found what you were looking for. Margaret Mellon's sister Mary was my Great Grandmother.
I hope you had some luck finding what you needed,
Louise
