I too really appreciate the restorers on this board. I have had so many photos restored by our kind restorers for free. I have most of them hanging up around the house so I count myself very  lucky.

 You could try Cityark. They have various church records where you can find births, baptisms marriages and burials.

I found a lot of my family on that site.

As a left hander being made to sew using the right hand and wear a thimble. My teacher used to call out "right hands up" just to check we had the thimble on. She also used to check on hems to make sure were had used the right hand.

I soon learned to keep the thimble on my right hand and when sewing a hem turned the item upside down so my stitches seemed to be done with the right hand.
