I've just had the name Scott confirmed by a relative, once it was mentioned it jogged a few memories.

Thanks again.

Ok, thanks for your time Tati. :)

I have a maiden name now, which is better than I started with.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Wife of Harrison Wright b.1874

Good morning,

Not sure if this fits in Lancashire requests but as their child was born Blackburn I will give it a shot.

I am looking for a maiden name (or anything) on Margaret (?) b.abt1874 (+/-5) West Hartlepool, Durham.

Margaret married Harrison Wright b.1874 Richmond, Yorkshire (tailor). They had one child I know of, Annie Elizabeth Wright b.abt1903 Blackburn, Lancs.

Harrison Wright's parents, William Wright b.abt 1846 Richmond, Yorkshire (blacksmith) and Elizabeth (?) b.abt. 1847 West Witton, Yorkshire (blacksmith's wife)

1901 census shows Harrison Wright (26) living in West Hartlepool with his cousin and uncle. No sign of Margaret, so I presume they meet shortly after.

Thanks in advance if you can help or point me along any lines.

Scotland / Re: Agnes Collow b.1869

Jean,

Many thanks for the information, it looks as though I will need to get my hands on a copy of the Agnes' marriage certificate and hopefully this will confirm Andrew as her father.
The  Agnes you have found is listed as born 1867 and her sister Isabella 1869, I have a date for Agnes born 1869 how possible is that the two sisters have their birth years mixed up on the census?

Scotland / Agnes Collow b.1869
« on: Saturday 18 November 06 17:38 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I am looking for any information on my GG grandmother, Agnes Collow b.1869 Scotland. married William Henry Threlfall b.1870 Blackburn, Lancashire in Oct/Dec qu 1891 Blackburn, Lancashire.

1891
Agnes Collow housemaid domestic servant unmarried b.Scotland
Working in the household of Alexander Tod 38 b.(1853+/-2) cotton yarn agent and manufacturer b.Scotland.
Mary 32 wife b.Clitheroe, Lancs.
James E 6 b.Scotland.
address Sandbridge North Promenade Lytham St Anne on Sea, Lancashire.

Agnes Collow dosent appear on any census in England before 1891. It looks like she moved to England with the family of Alexander Tod whom she worked for.

Agnes possibly has a brother Jimmy (James?)

This is all the information I have for her. Perhaps if I had an idea where abouts Alexander Tod  or his son James were born, then the odds are that Agnes was also born nearby.

I know this is not much to go off.
Thanks in advance if you can help

Many thanks.

I am a virtual newbie to the world of family history, any other links of interest would be highly appreciated.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Marriage of Buckley - Revill around 1925-30
« on: Friday 17 November 06 19:59 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for any record of a marriage between a Harry Buckley b.Sept 1904 Blackburn parents (?) Buckley and Martha (Bolton?) and Mona Revill b. June 11 1908 Chorlton, Lancs. parents unknown.

I am really trying to find details of the parents of both Harry and Mona, and am thinking that a marriage record would be the best route.

Thanks in advance.
