Hi Jean,

Many thanks for this information - it could certainly be the child I'm looking for and not too far from Ashland MA.
Phyllis' mother was born MA, but her Grandfather was born NB. Her father was born in England.
I was told that she had been looked after by an aunt -Blackwell and do not know of a Wheeler connection.
However, there are family memories of an Ethel - so this may be the correct family group !!!!
Thank you very much for your help with this.
Regards,
John.

Hi Osprey,
Thank you for your comments on this one - I  now think it is probable that both Henry and Daniel could have been born in Nova Scotia.
The initials OFA, as used on the Marriage Certificate, would be for ' of full age'.
I will now be looking for Henry and Daniel Jackson in Canada.
Thanking you for your assistance,
Regards,
John

Hi Suz,
Yes, here are the Marriage Details -

18 October 1864 Parish Church, Swansea.
Henry Jackson, OFA, Mariner, of Swan Street. Father- Daniel Jackson, Master Mariner.
Ann M.L. Saker, Minor, Swan Street, Father Horatio Saker, Comedian.
Witnesses - John Scoutlebury and Annie Williams.

There is a possibility that we will not be able to locate them as they are shown on the US Census 1880 as born Nova Scotia.

It was only by luck that I discovered their Marriage and first children in Swansea !!!!!!
Thought maybe Henry and Daniel could have been from Wales.
Annie M. Jackson and their first two boys appear on the 1871 Swansea Census.

We could be looking for events that occurred in Canada - my apologies if this is the case.

Thanks again,

John.
