Hi John,

In my extended tree  I have James Mounfield (b. 1821) married to Emily Clarke (b. 1843) in 1864.  When James died in 1879 she married Samuel Pennell in 1881 (my line).

James and Emily had a son called Edward Mounfield born 1864 - could he be the one who married Florrie Owen therefore the father of Roy?

George Moore and Fanny Caroline Newhall are also in my tree - George was the son of Thomas Done Moore but I can't see any Clarke's in this line.  Moore is my line, so it could be in the Newhall family.

Hi Lizzie,

Richard left a will - it won't help you with origins but does back up your other information about Green Lane.

You can download it from Find my Past...

Thank you both, that's exactly what I was looking for and fits perfectly with what everyone remembers.

Scotland / Mary Ann Oliver PATON nee WILSON
« on: Saturday 02 July 16 21:36 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

I don't have much experience looking at Scottish research, but my husband remembers Mary and would like to know when she died.  She married George Black PATON in 1946 in Ramsgate.  George was Scottish and they lived there - I belive Mary died in Scotland but have no idea where but possibly in the 1970's.  After Mary died George moved to England and lived with my in-laws until he died in 1983.  George may have been a fireman or part time fireman and enjoyed woodworking.

I'd really appreciate any help,

Thanks,

Jean

I've requested a photograph of the headstone (if there is one).  I'll keep you posted!

Wow!  Thanks to Sandra for the naturalisation for Olive - suggests that James Gibson Beckett was alive and living in Hamilton in 1947.

We are now in touch directly and updating our trees!

Hi Linda,

Lovely to hear from you.  Our common ancestors are Thomas BECKETT and Elizabeth YOUD who married in 1830 at Frodsham.  I also have been researching the Beckett family for some time and would be delighted to share information.  If you make a couple more posts on this thread we will be able to exchange email addresses via the personal messaging system - more information on how to do this is at this link:

Look forward to hearing from you,

Jean
