Hello again. I drafted out a lengthy reply but sadly I pressed the wrong button and lost it all. I will see how much I can remember.

I have looked at all the items you referred to. How can we be sure that Susan who died is the same lady as Susannna the will writer?  Do we think that Grove house in West st Dorking is the lodging house that is mentioned at the inquest?

I will write again if I remember the other points I raised.  And thank you very much for your help; any more bits most welcome.

Dear Erdington,

It was a great pleasure to find another Naden.  I can let you know the info I have. Can you tell me where exactly you fit in to the family you have itemised.  I have met Brenda on a couple of occasions

Watson  -  apologies for late acknowledgment of your last post. Problems of old age I fear.  Thanks for your suggestions which I have passed to my daughter whose project this is.

Watson - |I am researching a photograph of a painting. Even with a magnifying glass I cannot see a signature on the black and white photograph. The picture has a  note of what it is - 'West Street Independent Meeting House Dorking 1719 to 1836 Painted by J Hasson 1825'  which is only 2 years before Hassell's death age 60. On a separate sheet of paper it says 'the congregational church'. Having looked at the websites for Hassell I am confident that Hassell was indeed the artist, It may be because of his age it was never 100% finished; it certainly rather plain for a skilled artist. Are you able to point me a website that would list all his paintings.

Mr J Hasson painted a picture in 1825 showing a meeting house in Dorking. I can find no reference to him anywhere.  Does anyone know who he was?  Any info would be most welcome.
