Obituary Help Needed

Not sure if rootschat researches this kind of information.

Just in case they do, I would very much like to read the obituary,
if there was one published, in the town's newspaper for:

HANNAH HAYES
Died:  1910
Poulton cum Seacombe, Cheshire, England
Civil Parish:  Wallasey, Cheshire
Reg. District:  Birkenhead
Parish:  St Hilary

Husband, Samuel Hayes, died several years earlier.

KGarrad

Was Ewloe Town, Flintshire ever part of Denbighshire?

I was hoping daughter, Hannah, might have been 19 to 20yrs
of age.  Her father was called Robert Griffiths and was reported
deceased on Hannah's marriage certificate in Dec. 1864.

Appreciate your help

Thank you KGarrad

I was hoping this couple would have had a daughter, named Hannah.

Robert Griffiths married a Hannah Potter , June 1940.
Marriage registered Gawsworth, St. James, Cheshire East.

I would appreciate receiving family CENSUS information collected in the
 YEARS 1841,1851 and 1861.

 Thank you

Hello CaroleW

The 1861 census in Birkenhead looks interesting if this Catherine
was Robert Griffiths second wife.

I will have to give this some more thought.

Thank you Carole

Cheshire Completed Lookup Requests / Robert Griffiths - Death Information
« on: Monday 14 March 11 00:33 GMT (UK)  »
Robert Griffiths died in 1864, at age 50, making his birth year about 1814
in Denbighshire or Cheshire.

Death Sub-District:  Birkenhead
Register:  Wirral

I am reluctant to order a death certificate as this is a long shot for  me!

Could someone please look up Robert in the 1861 census (Denbighshire/Cheshire locations)
to see if he is alone or living with family.

Thank you

English Daisy

Hello Carole

Robert Griffiths daughter Hannah married in Dec. 1864 in Liverpool.
Robert was deceased on his daughter's marriage certificate and was a labourer.

After the wedding Hannah lived with her husband, Samuel Hayes, in Seacombe, Birkenhead area of Cheshire until they died post 1900. The Hayes family baptized their children in St. Paul and St. Hiliary parishes.

When I saw the death of a Robert Griffiths, age 50, in 1864, Birkenhead on Cheshire BMD yesterday, I just had a hunch that maybe I should check this record out.

Up to now, I have connected Robert with Denbighshire where Hannah was born.  Despite my research, plus the help of several Roots Chat members, I have  never been able to find Hannah or Robert on the 1861 or pre 1861 censuses.

Since Hannah moved from Wales to Cheshire, I thought just maybe her father, Robert, may have followed her to Cheshire.

Thank you Carole for your interest. I do appreciate it.

With Christmas Eve tomorrow, I am going to postpone my Robert Griffiths research and enjoy being with my family and grandchildren!

Again Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you Carole and all RootsChatters!
