Roobarb when I went for my booster, they had a poster at the entrance to the waiting area asking anyone who had previously fainted to let their vaccinator know when they sat down.
I was fine after my jab, just a sore arm for a day.

Caroline thatís a brilliant amount to have raised. Very tiring but very fulfilling Iíd have thought.

Viktoria - I hope you get to see all your family somehow.

LM re tests, itís not easy is it - I picked up a new supply of tests at out local library when I took my books back. Theyíd mentioned they had supplies, so I thought that was a really easy way of getting some more.

Genuki has great pointers and info in my opinion. Covers Uk and Ireland. Thereís help on the site but basically you click on the area of interest eg a county and then it both shows you where it is and where the resources are held for that area.

As Jebber says it is the Royal Air Force and he is a Leading Aircraftsman. Incidentally the RAF is becoming gender neutral and in future both airmen and airwomen will be known as aviators.

I can just picture my dads face if heíd been told about this name change to aviators lol . Heíd have said aviators are people that fly and I didnít fly!  ( he was ground crew wireless technician WW2)

Morning all
Iíve had a bit of a busy week - booster on Wednesday ( moderna) . Iíd been expecting Pfizer as thatís what my husband had a few weeks ago , but apparently theyíve changed the rules again and theyíre keeping Pfizer for the youngsters and the vulnerable as itís the only one licensed for youngsters.
The lady at the centre asked if Iíd had any reaction to my first two az jabs and I said no to which she responded - youíre lucky! Brilliant injector this time too and didnít feel it. Have been fine apart from a bit of a sore arm when I lay on it on night one , but fine now.
Today Iíve been to the dentists to get my broken tooth mended. Iím still Ď defrostingí from the injection. I had a first though - the dentist put fluoride varnish on all my teeth and seemed surprised when I asked if this was something new. He did say every dentist was different but certainly my previous guy who left the practice had never offered it before. Was wondering if others have had it? I had a look online and itís on the nhs website so Iíve clearly been behind the times!

The notice from TNA said Aberystwyth not Cardiff and that has led to some comments about how for folk even in Wales it's not an easy place to get to. I wonder why Aberystwth was chosen?

Perhaps because National Library is there?

Thanks - that would make sense.

Morning all. Not ignoring everything that has been posted, but I have a question .

Tv this morning had lovely footage of a schools nativity play. Our daughters now in their 30's , took part in nativity in nursery and school productions in junior school. I however don't remember being in any nativity plays at school or church, my mum hasn't recorded anything in her detailed diaries either whereas everything else is recorded . I do have vivid memories of being in other school productions and what I did, what I wore etc and they are in her diary.
I can remember learning the Christmas carols (and at church ) so did my school and church just not do such things as dressing up back in the day? It seems strange that I have no memories or even expectations that I might get to play a wise man ( person) or some thing. My youngest was desperate to play Mary and got to but I don't even recall any ambitions ?
What does anyone else recall?

I have been told that Kew have announced that Manchester Library and Cardiff will also be free hubs for the 1921 census. I think it will be like a stampede on January 6th but good to know for later on.
