Technical Help / Re: New battery for laptop?
« on: Friday 25 September 20 16:38 BST (UK)  »
Not a direct answer Roobarb, but we have a laptop on windows 7 where the battery didnít work anymore, so I just took it off and I operate it on the mains. It means you canít change rooms without switching off and plugging in again say downstairs,  but for me itís worth it as I do most of my genealogy writing up on there.

We're still in a lockdown area so no visiting for us. Did lots of weeding knowing that it was forecast to rain Wednesday and it was correct- it's very wet here today. Saw the NHS thank you spitfire on its way home last night . Only got a blurred photo on the phone as it was too high up, but a very distinctive engine sound and outline in the sky. Indoors jobs only today .

Caroline, from what I've read I don't think the restrictions will cover the Weardale area, it's Wearside, ie around Sunderland.

The restrictions do cover Weardale as itís in County Durham and itís part of the restricted area. Itís. Northumberland , north Tyneside, south Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead Sunderland and County Durham but not Darlington. All 7 local authorities asked for extra help from the government , even though Northumberland and County Durham have fewer or even no cases. Darlington is a sep local authority so they arenít in it. We are all very fed up !!
