Europe / Joseph Francois & Pauline Maree Marriage - Belgium
« on: Sunday 16 June 13 02:59 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to get marriage information of Joseph Dieudonne Francois to Pauline Victoria Maree in Namur, Belgium circa 1840.  Joseph was born in 1812 in Belgium and Pauline was born 1823 also in Belgium.  Their child, Emile Dieudonne, was born in 1843.  They had several more children before coming to the US in 1856.
Any marriage or other information about this family would be appreciated.

Europe / Switzerland Lookup - Auguste Bersier
« on: Sunday 15 April 12 14:13 BST (UK)  »
Would like information for Auguste Bersier who was born circa 1829.  He appears in the 1850 Kings County, NY census with Birthplace listed as Switzerland.  Also, Switzerland was given as Birthplace for both his parents.
Thank you, Diane

Perthshire / Re: David & Jean Anderson Taylor - 1841
« on: Saturday 19 November 11 23:18 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Julie, Thanks for your prompt reply.  I'm surprised that David & Jean (Jane) Taylor are not living together with their children in 1841.  I forgot to mention that a daughter, Catherine born in 1833, was in the 1851 census - Kinnoul Causway - and in the 1861 census. I would think she should be with her mother in 1841.  Jean a/k/a Jane Taylor was never named Janet in any census record up until her death.  But it does appear that David Taylor was living with the Drummond family in 1841 because his occupation as a marble cutter is correct.
  Many thanks, Diane

Perthshire / David & Jean Anderson Taylor - 1841

Trying to find David Taylor and his wife Jean Anderson Moncrieff Taylor in the 1841 census.  I have information as follows:  They were married 10 Feb 1830 in Perth.  Jean is also referred to as Jane.  Their son, Peter Anderson Taylor was born 12 Oct 1839 in Perth.  David Taylor was a marble cutter.  Another child's name was Lillas.  I have them in 1851, 1861.  Also daughter, Rachel, was born in 1851.  David Taylor died some time before 1869.  The family moved to Ontario, Canada circa 1871.  Any info on the 1841 census and previous years would be appreciated.

Hi Ev:

Sorry for the delay in replying to you.  For some reason my email sent all your recent posts to the "Spam" file which I just checked today.

Robert Mathie's parents names were:  David Mathie a ploughman and Cicilia "Hill" - the name I was questioning on some of the children's names.

I am doing research on David Matthew (a/k/a Mathie) and Cicilia Hill.  They were married 05 May 1815 in the County of Fife, Parish of Auchterderran.  I would like to know if anyone has information about their children and also the dates of death of David & Cicilia.
