Hi, I have just been going through some documents and found my grandfathers papers from 1925. My grandma died in childbirth in 1927 the grave papers state that grandad bought a "Third Class" grave. Could someone tell me what exactly "third class did mean?
To my knowledge and according to the grave registar for the cemetery there are two adults and four infants buried in the grave. The papers say that grandad paid £11.9.0d and put £5.0.0d as a downpayment and £1.4.0d every two weeks until paid in full.
The little headstone that is still there, and as a family we all  look after it, was paid for with a repayment of a halfpenny a week!! Sorry for rambling!! thanks for your time in advance JO
