Technical Help / Re: Please help! My camera has 'the blues'!
« on: Thursday 03 December 20 10:15 GMT (UK)  »
My apologies for not replying sooner - have spent a few days of being unwell - fortunately nothing to do with the current situation!  :)

Thank you so much for the replies - appreciated!  I'm taking a look at the links provided - hopefully to learn a bit more.  Have located the 'white balance' on the cursor button and will adjust setting when I know a bit more!

It's nice to know you're there when needed!

Technical Help / Please help! My camera has 'the blues'!
« on: Saturday 28 November 20 21:30 GMT (UK)  »
I’ve accidentally touched something on my camera (Lumix TZ100) that I shouldn’t have!  The result is . . . on screen: overall blue cast, which, of course, causes any photos to have “the blues”!  I did something like this some years ago (repeat offender!) years ago, and had to go to the place of purchase in Norwich.  I believe then,  it had something to do with a setting for ‘artificial light’ e.g. tungsten, fluorescent, etc. Have looked through my book’s index for this camera but didn’t spot anything.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Technical Help / Re: Transfer photos from phone to Windows 10

UPDATE: Thank you so much for the advice offered – much appreciated.  I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to achieve the goal . . . I do struggle a bit with this sort of thing – probably due to me being a non-techie – nor trekkie! Trying Bluetooth – phone unlocked, and both devices were ‘live’ but no luck! A USB cable was tried (with MS Photos) but with no success.
Gadget mentioned to t/f by email.  Fortunately this worked as phone has a Gmail app and that’s the email program I use. Thank you Gadget!   :)
I have posted two of the photos - nothing special!

It's handy if you're away from home and don't want to send it/them to cloud storage.

For an android phone, just click 'Share' and select what you want to send. Then click 'Share' again and select e-mail from the listing. You can then send it to yourself from the e-mail on your phone in the usual way.

I'm printing out these "advice" comments to see if it helps me conquering these problems.  I do realise the biggest problem is me. Unfortunately, being non-tech minded doesn't help and you must relaise that I failed my 11+ - oh the shame!  :D

Thanks for advice!  Both phone and PC now have Bluetooth activated – but . . !  Obviously I must look back at advice given to me in the past . . . obviously, your past can  catch up with you.  Tomorrow I will be ‘confined to barracks’ – awaiting a delivery, so might be the right time to concentrate on this matter.  However, I still think the biggest problem is that Big Nut in front of the monitor . . .  ;D
Gadget – thanks for tip about email/mobile – will have to look into that if all else fails!

Technical Help / Transfer photos from phone to Windows 10

OK, I know I have asked about this before (quite some time ago) and have abandoned the idea!  However, methinks I’ve had a ‘light bulb’ moment - I have Windows 10 Photos app; have connected phone to PC.  The phone is unlocked; in Photos app I click on ‘Import from a USB device” but get a message: “We are having trouble connecting. Make sure your device is unlocked, and that you accept the notification to connect”.  Phone is unlocked, but haven’t seen the notification – otherwise I stumped!  :'(

Any suggestions indicating the errors of my ways (!) would be most gratefully received – then perhaps I’ll finally be able to post this photo on here – which was taken on 16 March!  And I'll be forever in your debt! ;)

Technical Help / Re: Retrieving photos stored in camera's In-built memory.
« on: Thursday 30 July 20 21:00 BST (UK)  »
It works!  Yup, you are right!  I’ve not taken photos in the built-in memory before. So, went to dear old google which gave this: ‘How do I download pictures from my Lumix camera’s internal memory?  To transfer photos to a computer from the Internal Memory using the USB cable, first remove the memory card from the camera.  Then, when the camera is connected, the computer and software will only see what is in the internal memory and transfer those photos and videos.’
But, that didn’t work . . . so that’s when I posted on here. Eventually I tried it out and . . . the photos transferred to the memory card!  Thanks for your help - much appreciated.  Incidentally, my latest camera – the Lumix TZ100, does not have an inbuilt memory!  :o

Technical Help / Retrieving photos stored in camera's In-built memory.

Grabbed one of my cameras for a ‘photo opportunity’ and turned it on without looking at the screen so didn’t seen the on-screen messages – ‘no card’ and ‘photos will be stored on Internal Memory’ – oops!  Got the Lumix instructions online to retrieve the photos and followed them carefully.  I transfer my pics using Picasa 3, but on this occasion it was unable to find the pics on the camera.  Please can anyone help/advise?
