following up on your latest questions.
Yes that is the John Burns at No 8 Tievebunion, Agho / Augho has also come up, If I remember this was the DNA contact that matched an O'Rourke cousin in Penn. USA, Mary's first son Francis. They couldn't shed an light on Mary, but did say that there were Burns still farming in that area.
Mary's parents were not designated as deceased at her death in 1866.
Mary's last O'Rourke son, Patrick, was born 1850 according to Scottish Census records, but no info on her husbands death. no sign of him in Scotland. possibly they did arrive after the 1851 census.
There are a few Burns families in the Bothwell district but so far no indication of family ties. There is also an Elizabeth Burns from Augho in the 1911 & 1901 Ireland census
Quite a few indicators but no records of either Mary or Patrick in Ireland
