Please can anyone help me with information about this establishment which I believe was near the Quay Side. George Taylor was the Landlord.

Thanks for that bit of informati.on.
The reason I put the original request is this. I am a picture framer and a customer brought the picture in to be reframed. He had owned it for many years and didn't know anything about it, only that he liked it. As I made similar appeals before I rashly told him I would find out about it and luckilly before the day was out I had.
Your contribution has just made it even more exciting.

There is a rocky outcrop behind it too, though I haven't found a photo taken from the exact angle of the painting so am unsure if this is the place.That's it! That's exactly the one.
