My great uncles Thomas & Ivor Evans moved to Edlington in the 1930's, to work in the coal industry;they were born around the 1900's in Pontypridd.  Would appreciate if anyone has any knowledge of their relations to send me a message.  Much appreciated Wynford Evans

Could anyone help me , I have traced my ancestot back as far as 1781 christened in St Peters, born in Tetnall.  He joined th 52nd Regiment of Foot in 1804.  But, I don't know which county's regiment he joined.  He later was an in-patient in Chelsea Hospital in 1861 and died there in 1862.  Regards Wynford

Willow, I do have the certificate he was married in Haverfordwest in 1855, at the time he was a bandsman in the Royal Pembroke Artllery Militia, he married an Elizabeth Williams, her father was William Williams a labourer, Henry's father was then a Chelsea Pensioner.  Regards Wynford

Willow, thanks for your efforts, but I've been to Sevenoaks office and couldn't find any Evans registered at all, I don't think its the hingemaker because he would have put his status as married/widower.  But I'll keep on trying. Love and best wishes Wynford

Willow, Henry the son c.1816 gave his birthplace as Sevenoaks in Kent.  He married in 1855 in Haverfordwest  where he was a staff trumputer in the Royal Pembroke Artillery Militia.  After this time I have quite a lot of information, but would love to trace his parents.  On the marriage certificate he gives his father's name and occupation as a Chelsea Pensioner.   Regards Wynford
