Good day,
Regarding the post Jr Gauntlett, you mention wanting to 'follow' his daughter Elizabeth. I am her daughter. Perhaps I can assist you?

Dick Gauntlett was my biological maternal grandfather.
Kind regards,
Jenny

The last post before yours was 2020.

John I put the shipping list on a group I run on FB about Durban. I got a reply with a link to the estate of Eward Pickering. In it Eward Pickering leaves his estate to his wife Harriet Camp. So Edward and Thomas married sisters, hence Edward sponsoring Thomas. As a matter of interest there is a Pickering street in Durban named after the Pickering family. You can see Edwards estate here https://www.familysearch.org/.../3:1:3Q9M-CS75-HQ43-J...

Edward leaves something to Mary on the second page of his will. Edward married Harriet in Brighton on the 1/7/1859. Not sure if this helps. He died 25/4/1906, he says Thomas had already passed away.

This says Edith died in 1905 https://www.familysearch.org/search/linker?ark=/ark:/61903/1:1:6NJ4-6W78&id=GYM7-K4T&hinting=/tree/person/details/
