There are some Lavers graves here https://www.graves-at-eggsa.org/cgi-bin/library/dosearchGraves.pl without her Christian name it's difficult to search. You can search these files for Laver http://www.national.archsrch.gov.za/sm300cv/smws/sm300ds?20230519144333BCD41D41

I wonder if he then returned back to England after being declared bankrupt?

Apologies old age!

I wonder what is meant by this statement relating to the Insolvency of Charles?

Notice is hereby given that a period of six months having elapsed since the confirmation of the final account and plan of distribution in the Estates mentioned in the subjoined Schedule, the trustees (or assignees) of the said Estates will destroy all the books and documents in their possession relating to the said Estates (except those which are required to be lodged with the Master) after six weeks from the date of this notice.

Did Charles die and this is the reason no estate can be found for him in the local archives as it was destroyed!!

That would have to be the father seeing as Charles Victor was born in 1882.

Could this be his daughter born 1916 and died 1927 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-95FC-9V5Q?i=32&cc=1779109&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AWH65-81W2

This is all I can find, perhaps he returned to the UK?

I can only find this. Unfortunately the file itself is not online. Looks like someone was suing him in court.
