Sorry for possibly repeating myself, but could anyone tell me what medals the afore mentioned James Ferson who was killed in 1918 would have been awarded.Have lots of information on this board about his military life but nothing about medals
,or maybe I can,t see them,
Many thanks for any help.

First of all many thanks to you all for your valuable information.
Following up on Mary,I found she Emigrated to America and I found her marriage to Charles
Wilson in Wisconsin on 19 Aug 1885.Interesting thing Robert Doragh was a witness.
Found plenty of followup for Mary and family, but in trying to trace anything for Robert,I came up against a Robert Doragh, aged about the same  and parents RobertDoragh and Jane Love married in Ballynahatty Church., Possible Relations and was this Robert the witness or was it her own brother?
Sorry I have not the knowledge to post links for information found, but all this was on Ancestry.
Maybe some kind person will p.m  me how to show links and extracts, never too old to learn at 80+
Thanks again

Tyrone / Andrew and Anne Doragh,Gortin
« on: Saturday 03 June 23 19:41 BST (UK)  »
Hi All
I am researching the Doragh family from Lenamore,Gortin. Andrew and wife Anne reside in Lenamore Gortin as listed in the 1901 and 1911 census.According to returns are Presbyterians ,are aged Andrew 75 and Anne 76 and were married 1857. They had 5 children, 4 still alive in 1911.I have established that 2 daughters were Sarah and Eliza Jane. Looking for help establishing the rest of the family.
I think the nearest Presbyterian church to the townland of Lenamore would be possibly Gortin Presbyterian. I found a marriage of an Andrew Doragh and Anne Glass on 14 August 1856 in 2nd Ballinahatty Pres, No proof that this is the same family as this is Omagh district.
Eliza Jane married Claudious Knox and Sarah,s married name was Gailey, this all according to census returns.
My initial research started with John Doragh marrying Matilda Glasgow in 3rd Presbyterian Church in Cookstown.John,s father was Andrew. Two children Willian John and Sarah were born at Alaska St Belfast but Father died 12 Nov 1901. Trying to link these families. PS Doragh and Darragh  used
Many thanks

Hi All
Having spoken to a family member, they suggest that Robert returned from Canada and resided at Killymoon St,Cookstown,Co Tyrone.
He was a cattle dealer and farmer.
Confirmation of a return journey  would be helpful.
Thanks again

Hi All
Isabel Moffett born 2 Sept 1897 at Strews,Cookstown, daughter of Archibald, emigrated like many of her family to Philadelphia. She arrived on the Haverford from Liverpool on 16 Oct 1921 going to her sister Annie Church at  32nd st,Philadelphia. Any help in finding her after that date would be most welcome. Sometimes known as Bella.

Thoughts arising from the following info.
Robert had three sisters already in U.S in Philadelphia,
Maggie,b1888,Annie b1890 and Ethel b 1906.
Maggie married Hugh Wasson in 1914,and with 4 children visited N Ireland in 1923,They returned home on  15 Sept 1923,but travelled by Quebec, taking Ethel with them.Ethel stayed in  Canada until 9 Feb 1924 when she crossed at Buffalo.Could it be Robert decided to join his sisters in Philadelphia as well.why would they travel by Quebec?
Thoughts please
