Uncle Percy was born in Brisbane about 1878 and married Amy Scruse maiden surname Skyring 1908 she died 1947, Percy died 1950 of TB and is buried Toowong Cemetary Brisbane, my Great Aunt knew Amy used to visit lived around corner in High St Milton Brisbane Percy lived Heussler Tce. he and Aunt Etty as we called her married for convenience, she owned her own home she was a spinster and was 54 he was very naughty he said he was sixty odd when really he was in his seventies, my Father gave her away.Photos Aunt Ethel St Clair and Wedding photo from left Uncle Percy and Aunt Ethel, andhis son who died six weeks before him the could not tell Percy as he was dying in hospital it was tragic Aunty said he kept saying why isn,t he coming to see me.

Ethel Maria Dinning my Great Aunt married Uncle Percy St Clair as we knew him in 1951 i have more info if you want it. Photos- Uncle Percy and his dog Spotty.

It looks like you have cracked a 20 year mystery for me the story came down through the family that my Gt. Grandfafather met Mary in a Workhouse and then brought her out here to Australia to give her a better life, he ended up Superintendent for Qld. Railways and they had nine children and went on to acquire quite a good amount of personnel wealth, Mary certainly made sure her children did not have the life she had, the story goes through the family that she was very astute with money but at the sama time very fair.
I am indebted to you and this list for cracking this mystery for me thank you all so much.

There are several other Hilliar children born at about that time in Hungerford according to the IGI Hungerford batch, to a father George and mother Priscilla.
