With just a quick look, I didn't see anything that answers your question, but you may find this site interesting.  It has a lot of historical information on Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

Census and Resource Discussion / Re: American searches
« on: Tuesday 24 September 13 18:09 BST (UK)  »
Ancestry probably has the most images online, but if you want to start some searching before paying anything, familysearch.org  can be a good place to start.  They have indexes of the census, but not images for all years.  They also have many other records of marriages, deaths etc.  - some include images.  It all depends on the place & the year.   I have found some images there that are not on ancestry.

A lot in the US can determine on where they lived. There are state & county sites that can may have additional information.  When BMD Certificates were required varies by state (as does the price).  Some were registered at the town or county level prior to the state requirement.

findagrave.com can be useful in cemetery searching, but it depends on what volunteers have entered so not all burials are included.

I would also keep in mind the US board on this site. It's been my experience you will receive more timely & complete answers from the great researchers here than most message boards based in the US.

Good luck with your search!

It looks like NBC is not renewing WDYTYA next year.   :(   I hope the impact on Ancestry will encourage them to find another network in the US.

Some episodes were better than others, but I enjoyed them all.

In 1920,  Frank Austin is living with his mother Margaret and his sister Maud his in Auburn Township,  Susquehanna County, PA.   Frank is a physician with a general practice.   (which matches what you mentioned of Letitia's brother being a doctor).

Following Margaret and William Austin back to 1880, they have a daughter named Letitia.

Here are some links to some other census.  This looks like it could be daughter Lena.

In 1910,  I found a Lena M Williams living with her grandmother Margaret Austin in Rathbone, Steuben County, NY.   Margaret has had 5 children, 2 living.

In 1900, Lena is also with her grandparents, Margaret and William Austin.  In this one, she is listed as Lena Austin.

Hi Pacific,
It think  this is your John Williams in 1900.

https://www.familysearch.org/search/recordDetails/show?uri=https://api.familysearch.org/records/pal:/MM9.1.r/M9JR-5DF/p_66806512

He's widowed listed as boarder.  Living with Samuel and Sarah Ostrander.  John H. Williams, b. Oct 1890, is there also listed as nephew.
