Northumberland / Re: William WHITE, Agent - for what?

Coincidentally, my ancestor also named William White was an agent. However, on other documents he is listed as a commercial agent or a commercial traveller. I presumed that he was some kind of sales person.

Hi Jim

Ancestry is a pain isn't it? They are living at Bk157 Upper Windsor St Aston Duddeston and Nechells. Occupants: Louisa Smith 34, Richard Smith 11, Sarah Smith, Joseph Smith 4, Frederick Smith 3 Richard Bagley brother. Louisa is a charwoman. If you try Louisa Smith born about 1837 you should get it. I've tried this and it works.

Thanks

Ian

Warwickshire / Charles Smith Gunbarrel borer Aston marriage
« on: Monday 03 March 08 13:06 GMT (UK)  »
I'm trying to find the marriage for my gggrandparents Charles Smith and Louisa Bagley who lived in Duddeston area of Aston. On my great grandfather's birth certificate in 1865 Charles is listed as a gun barrel borer. All I have on Charles is that he was born about 1816 according to the census and that he was married before to a Mary. He seems to disappear off the census after 1871 but I can't find a death certificate for him. I wondered if anybody had any ideas of different areas to search?
