I haven't picked up a Peter Nisbet in that generation but I'm planning a visit to Scotlands people in a few weeks and will look into it further, I've found a few deaths in the Berwick area around the same period but cannot confirm 100% they are from my tree

Check out this post further down the page, I contacted NHS Forth Valley via their website, the records I got back didn't show much more than the death cert but you may get lucky

Hi Rockford
You are correct about Bangour and WW1, there was, in fact a rail line direct to the hospital at the time. Bangour developed the top burns/plastic surgery unit in Britain which was still the case into the nineties where it was used during the first Iraq conflict before being transferred to St John's in Livingston.
It is worth bearing in mind that there were two parts to Bangour - the General Hospital (no longer exists) to the north and the Village (Psychiatric) to the south. The Village buildings are still standing although they are unused.

Stirlingshire / Muiravonside Steel Forge
« on: Friday 08 April 11 20:59 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Does anyone know of a Steel Forge in Muiravonside around 1902? One of my death certificates for a 1 year old boy (George Nisbet) has him dying at "Steel Forge Muiravonside" at 02:40 of teething. It all seems a bit strange to me!

Cheers
Steven

Thanks Aileen and Tom,
I'll look up those three deaths, in particular the Muiravonside one looks promising.
Tom, thanks for the obvious time you've put in I already have most of that info but as you can see the frustrating thing is the two births which seem not to exist, doubly frustrating as George is the direct link down to me.

I'm planning on going to the GRO once the 1911 census is released if you guys need a look up let me know

Steven
