I did contact Fegans here in the UK and the sent me copies of the file,I have tried the veterans dept in Canada but they need to know if he is dead or alive and have proof.

I am looking for any information on a George Freeman.He was born in London,England on 20/01/1911 and was admitted to Mr Fegans Homes on 15/6/1923 and was shipped to Canada on 17th April 1926 to Hornby, Ont.He returned to England on 31/10/1931 but to return on 23/01/1932.He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and visited his sister during the war and that is the last we know of him.Did he marry, and have children, and when did he die.

Thanks to the replies.It seems that the USA was not the place for him.Daisy thanks for you reply but unfortunately it was the wrong Benjamin W Clinch, my BW Clinch was born in the Village of Little Woolstone,Bucks which is now part of Milton Keynes and he studied at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in the Elephant and Castle area of London and became a Baptist preacher and where he married is wife.

I am tracing a Benjamin White Clinch who emigrated to the USA 1912 on board the SS City of New York from Southampton arriving on the 16th April 1912 aged 65years.
On the ships manifest it noted him as having a nephew living at 444 Church St Greensboro NC.He was a Baptist preacher in England.
