What area of what country are you talking about?
Maybe a visit to the archival records of your local council (or whatever your local body is called) would be a good place to start.

Thanks folks - after the help given a couple of weeks ago I managed to successfully convert to MP3.
I will keep referring to this thread if I have to do it again. Not doing it often enough to keep it in my memory!

The software that I quoted can be used to cut the video at the point in the video and then export as MP3.
I have done that - thanks for the tips!
I am getting there - - slowly!
