Hi Alan,

Sorry for taking my time answering, but Yes Armstrong Urwin Born Byker Newcastle is my GGG Granfather, the ealiest record i have of him is when he was staying with his, I take her to be a cousin(Jane Robson) at their Grandfathers(?) Armstrongs house. -I've lost a whole generation somewhere.- Anyway the Armstrong Urwin name carried on. My G Granfather, Douglas Urwin called one of his sons Armstrong. I always thought it was so unusual, that is untill I started this !!!!

Hope to hear from you soon,
Jacqui.

Hi,
I know I'm a bit late with this reply, well, actually about 2 years, but I found your query during my hours and hours of mind boggling searching. Anyway Douglas Armstrong Urwin from Willington Quay is my G. Grandfather, his daughter Williamina was my Nanna. I know a bit about the family so if your interested i can tell you what I know. Also, could you let me know how you did with your search into his past. I know his father was John and his mother was Williamina young, and I think John must have remarried because Douglas had a younger brother (after henry and george) who went by the name of Con. He emigrated to New Zealand but I cant find any record of him, but I do have a photo so I know he existed. Anyway I'll stop rambling.

Thanks
Jacqui
