Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Maiden Name - Need Help!

So, I have managed to track down a birth cert for William McNeilly's youngest child - listed the marriage date between William McNeilly and Ellen McIntyre as 7 June 1844 in Killybegs, County Donegal. Cannot for the life of me see where to locate a marriage cert for this????

It has been a while since I have been doing my family tree. A recent DNA test through a/try sparked a new interest!!

Hi all

Thanks for your responses once again.

The death cert is for William McNeilly born c.1821 married a Helen McIntyre born c.1829 presumably both from Ireland.

Can't find a marriage cert for them. William is listed as a general labourer on his death cert, so finding him on a census has been fun! Fruitless, but fun.

I will have another go.

Hello

I located an ancestor, and upon finding his death cert, I cannot decipher the maiden name of his mother. I am hoping someone will be able to help me out?! I can see it starts with a D, but past that I am stuck :(

Much appreciated :)

Hi there,

I have a relative born June 1938 in Birmingham, named Joseph Eric Hanson (his birth name was Weake)

I have what I believe is a service number - 93423, was written as DJ/93423, d/j93423 and also DSS/93423, it may or may not have a 1 on the end of the number.

In an address book belonging to him, he has listed HMS Eagle, HMS Mess. Drake? and HMS Anchorite for returning the book to him if it was lost. He had o/sea and AB written before his name for returning the book.

There are some other number/letter combinations, such as 2t2 and J63.

He was married in Dunoon, Scotland and may have been stationed there. Was divorced in Plymouth, so may have been stationed there also.

Have had a look on the national archives site, but no luck.

Can anyone give me a hand?
Thanks
