Hi Velocibob,
Thanks for that. I'm still piecing this line together. Sadly I had a stroke about 11 months ago and it has affected my memory. I'm just trying to see where this family fits into the scheme of things with the Rossiter family. Thanks again for your help. Stay safe, rcuser

Hi rcuser

Many thanks for iyour email.

For your information, my Job Rossiter's parents were William Rossiter and Satah Millet, he was the youngest, in Laverton.

Hi,
That's interesting, I have a Richard Rossiter, who married a Sarah Millet in 1769  at Lullington, Somerset. Wonder if it's the same Sarah Millet?

Wonder if Sarah Millet was married twice?

Best wishes, rcuser

Hi,
Thanks for that. I have the marriage of James Rossiter and Jane Line on 31st July 1780 at Blessed Virgin Mary, Orchardleigh, Somerset but sadly have no other details about them.

Unfortunately about 8 months ago I had a stroke and haven't really done much research on this line and don't have birth dates for either James or Jane, nor do I know if they had children.

I'll have to re-read this again and do a bit more research but am hoping that I might be able to link them up to a family ot line or family in my database.

Sorry I cannot be of much help at present but if you have any further details about this family I'd appreciate any info you have. Hopefully I might be able to connect it to one of the over 50,000 Rossiter individuals in my database.

Stay safe. Have a good day. Best wishes, rcuser

Hi KR,
Happy New Year!!

I do have William Rossiter born circa 1855/56 son of William Rossiter and Catherine in my database but unfortunately I have made little progress with the family at present. William's parents were born in Ireland as were some of his siblings but they have been hard to track. Sometimes William is given as William Rossiter and other times as William Rositer.

There are many variations on the name Rossiter which complicates research somewhat particularly as tracking Rossiters in Ireland is not helped by limited records.

If I get any more information I will post it here for you. Sorry I cannot be of more help at this time.

Best wishes, rcuser

Hi Neil,
Hope all is well with you.

I'm still tracking this line too but it is hard going.

Did not know that Susan had re-married and would appreciate any info on her new husband and children please.

Have Susan's death in DEC Qtr 1878 at Newport. William death is MAR Qtr 1941 at Newport RD and Annie's death DEC Qtr 1916 also at Newport RD.

Have George Frederick Rossiter married to Gladys Bertha Nellie Baines on 24th July 1915 (recorded Sept Qtr 1915 at Newport RD). Have son Bernard G born JUNE Qtr 1918 at Newport RD and son Kenneth W born June Qtr 1926 at Newport RD.

Have George Henry Arthur Rossiter married to Gladys Beatrice Dorothy Whitley in MAR Qtr 1917
at Newport RD but not found any children as yet.

Have David & Edward going to South Africa and have Sydney going to USA but did not realise he had been to Congo. Not sure who the third sibling was who went to Southern Africa.

Hope this helps. Have a good day. Best wishes, rcuser

United States of America / Re: Searching for Della Rossiter
« on: Thursday 02 October 14 15:51 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Not sure if it helps but Della or Delia Rossiter is the daughter of Patrick Rossiter & Ellen Hennessey.

Also found a death record for Delia Fraher on 15th May 1949 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, U S A.

Her husband Daniel was born in New Jersey so it's seems possible that they may have ended up there.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes, rcuser
