To RJ137 and Sandra,

To say thanks to both of you sounds rather pitiful when I look at the sheets of family information you have found for me. I did not expect this amount. It is wonderful and with my Grand daughter arriving today we will have a marvellous time filling out the family info sheets. May you both have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and always stay safe.

Regards,

Hello all, My gr grandmother Elizabeth McQuade married, 2nd time, Benjamin Rothwell in Killucan Ireland. Two sons Benjamin and William were born. Benjamin went to the USA and I am searching for him. He arrived at New York in 1880, married Jemima Goodwin and had 3 children. Elizabeth, Benjamin and Rinjie. By 1910 Benjamin is widowed and I am having difficulty following him and his family. I am hopeful that there may be some family to be found. Can anyone help please.

Westmeath / Re: McQuaide/McQuade family - Westmeath.

Further to my McQuade family. I now know I need guidance about finding my modern day relatives. If one wanted to find someone who married in 1934 in Killneen how would I go about it?. A notice in a paper asking for information about this couple? - what is the right approach as I don't want to cause anyone problems.   There are no skeletons in closets - this is my paternal grandmothers family. I am on the home stretch and its hopefully going to be happy for all. Thanks everyone for your help and I look forward to getting the advice I need.

Regards,
Lynette

Any help appreciated in finding the marriage information of Elizabeth (also known as Lillie and Eliza) McQuaide b 1898 to Thomas and Ann McQuaide of Westmeath. All I can find is 'Eliza McQuaide m April, May, June 1834 page 141 and film no 101577. This index and film I hope will give me the information to follow along Elizas line and give me more McQuade family to find. I am looking forward to any replies I receive.

To everyone who replied to my query about The White Star ship and W W Julius. I have appreciated your help and advice and I hopefully soon be one step further along the journey that W. W made from St Kitts to Australia.

Thank you very much Mckha489 for your reply. I do think that you have sorted out the question as to William W Julius being in the Royal Navy or not. The census didn't come up to naval standards of name, rank, occupation etc and so few men. I think this is how he found his way to Australia. Again my thanks

Thank you all for your interest and replies. WW was born in St Kitts and that story is fairly deeply researched. I am interested in him in the census as a steward and cook and on the ship White Star. Some have the opinion that this was a naval ship but I have doubts because if it was everyone should have had their ratings marked on the form and where are the rest of the crew. There was a sister ship to the Titanic called White Star, and it sank off Ireland. Certainly would have had more crew than this small number. I look forward to any suggestions.
