The large cost of arms cap badge was worn in 1917-18 by the Volunteer Battalions - formerly Volunteer Training Corps as well as the Labour Corps.

58th RA regt was previously DofW regt.  I would suggest they are of that regiment wearing RA collars but DofW regt cap badge.  Also The 5th Duke of Wellington's was one unit becoming 43rd (5th Duke of Wellington's) Anti-Aircraft Battalion, RE on 10 December 1936, retaining its Duke of Wellington's cap badge.

The Sam Browne belt would not be worn with that tunic and helmet if he was an officer.  It would be worn with khaki.  I suspect you have someone dressing up.

The 33rd London Regiment wore the same cap badge as the Rifle brigade.  A short history:

Possibly but as they were cavalry until 1942 and then a Royal Signals Regiment it would be an odd place for him as a AAC/Paratrooper to be sent.

If the photo was 1919 or later then he would have medal ribbons so have you considered that he joined the EY first and then transferred to the Infantry and then went to France.

Where did he live pre-war?
