It does seem to fit.  Shame, I was hoping to see him with his parents.

I shall add this to my possible folder. Thanks!

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Frederick Harrison Birth
« on: Tuesday 03 August 10 00:24 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone.

I'm trying to trace a Frederick Harrison, who we believe to have been born in about 1862/3

Frederick married an Eliza Williams in Liverpool 1891.

On this certificate his father is William Thomas Harrison (Labourer).

On the 1911 census he is listed as living at Tower Road, Birkenhead and is a Dairyman.  He says he was born Islington, London.

The 1901 census he is listed as living on Stewart Street, Birkenhead and is a Milk Dealer.  He says he was born Islington, London.

I have an 1891 census showing him living at Mill Street, Birkenhead as a lodger working as a Milk Carrier. He says he was born London, Shoreditch.

Since then my search has hit an annoying brick wall and I can't seem to find earlier census' where he fits in well.

Ideally I'm looking to purchase his birth certificate.  So if anyone could help maybe track him down in the 1881 and 1871 census?

Thanks in advance.

Cheshire / Re: Old Map showing Church Road, Tranmere

Thanks for that.  The 1875 is of poor quality and I can't really make anything out on it.  I have bookmarked that site though, as it might prove useful in other family research.

On the same census a family are living on Farm Cottage and the rest of the properties are numbered.  I'll keep looking.

Thanks again,

Emma

Cheshire / Old Map showing Church Road, Tranmere

Just wondering if anyone had an old map for Church Road, Tranmere.
On an 1871 Census I have my fourth great grandmother living at 'The Farm' on Church Road.  I know Church Road quite well, but I have googled and googled to see if I can find where abouts on Church Road it might have been and come up with nothing.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Aaah I assumed they it had been a typing error.  But was sure before I convinced myself it was 'Toxteth' that it was Foxteth  :-[

Thanks so much

Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help me.

I have found on the 1911 Census that my x3 great grandfather lived at Toxteth Villa, Halsall Lane, Aughton.

Does anyone have any idea where abouts this might have been?

I did a random 'google images' search and found this document attached, but I'm not sure if it is linked or not.

Any help would be greatly received.

Many thanks

I thought it might have been Mather, but I can't seem to find a marriage cert for a Mather/Fender.

Any help is greatly received.
