A bit late coming in here, I know.  William Charles INMAN actually married 9 July 1861 to Judith MANSEL at Laughten en le Morthen, Yorkshire.
He belongs to my extended INMAN family.  Had no issue.  I too found that suicide report, and tied myself in knots for a bit.

Cavan / Re: MEE surname, County Cavan

Would be interested in a little more information Michelle.  My ancestor was from Inishmore, emigrated to NZ in 1860.  Alexander Mee, born circa 1833. Two of his brothers, Isaiah Mee and Elijah Mee, also emigrated to NZ.  Another brother James Mee remained in Inishmore, but I don't believe he had any children........A sister Selina married a George Mee, and they too remained in Cavan........Any information on your line would be welcome!

New Zealand Completed Requests / Re: Looking for Wentzel in New Zealand after 1907

I'm a few years late coming in on this one.  But can tell you that Ebenezer WENTZEL, the schoolteacher, changed his name after the first World War, to John WILSON.  His wife Alice Maud nee BARRATT was a half-sister of my husband's grandmother.  Ebenezer and Maud (as she was known) had no children.

I'm back again!

It seems that the wife of William GOLBY was Mary CUMBERLAND - info from the Family Tree of howesd (above) whose records seem spot-on!  You may like to contact her.

hi,
I picked up the children of your William & Mary in Stony Stratford on the 1841 Census -  I believe they were Sarah, William, Harriet and Ann.  But I have Harriet with a birthyear of 1816.  .....So, have I got the right family?  I believe the father, William, died in 1841.  Don't know his wife's full name, just "Mary".

Well, I have had a most interesting time with your Tree!.....Have been wondering if you have the will for William GOLBY who died 1809.....could email it if you would send me your address.  I also have a Will transcript for his daughter Mary POPAY, 1848.    I also notice you have a Mary A LINNELL.......well I have a heap of LINNELLs....they were intermarried more than once with our BARRATT family (Sarah Elizabeth POPAY having married Abraham BARRATT of Wicken, Northants, and whose mother was a Mary LINNELL).

Back to GOLBYs....there is a reference in "The Local Historian" to a painting of St Mary's Church in Banbury  - I found it on Google Books, but it is only a "snippet".  States "The table tomb in the foreground is that of William Golby, who was buried in January 1784".
Now that sounds interesting.  I've tried online Archive sites for Oxfordshire, but can't seem to latch on to anything of any use.
