Hi Legs,
Just found your old posting regarding Emma Tyas. She was my 2 x great aunt and I am as puzzled as you seem to be about the family. If you have managed any further with it I would be grateful for a leg up. I have the marriage to Matthew Mallinson, Huddersfield 1858 from freeBMD but can't prove it is the Emma daughter of Samuel and Mary as there was another Emma marriage to ? Liversay in 1855 which could also work.
Samuel Tyas was my 3xgreat grandfather through son John, his daughter Emma to my grandma Annie Wagstaff.
I am also confused with Samuel and his wife, I have Mary Kay, sometimes Mary Ann born 1907 or 1912.
I would be grateful for any help and happy to share anything I have which might help you.
Regards
Alison

The search works for me but as others it throws up some very weird matches which are totally unrelated to the search request

I have just got a new computer with internet explorer and Windows 7. I can't save the census images, been in touch with ancestry and they say there is an conflict with windows 7. I have to save to a memory stick then copy to my family tree programme. Has anyone found a way round the problem?

Would welcome contact on this line. William Canty Brown was my 3xgreat grandfather, through son Asher 1830, John 1875, Asher 1900.
Very willing to share what I have and bring this line up to date for anyone interested.
regards
Alison

I would be very interested in help with this line, Asher Brown 1830, brother of John Canty Brown was my great, great grandfather. I have no info on what happened to John Canty and would like to develop that line. Could fill in the Asher line in return and I have information taking the line back from William Canty Brown their father.
Thanks
Alison
