hi aghadowey,
Once again you have pointed me in the right direction.  It's obvious that I need to find out all the info in RootsChat!
Thanks so much

I probably made the mistake of searching for James who was deceased at that time.  I should have looked for my ggmother or my grandfather.

Where did you find the info on possible death registrations?

I'm about to look into where and how to come up with bmd certificates for my Irish ancestors.
Thank you.

Thank you so much for the information aghadowey.  The site you posted was the site I found the 1901 census info but couldn't locate the 1911 census.  Maybe the 1911 info was added after I searched.

I will search out the death records you have found.

Again thanks very much.  It is very much appreciated.

Monaghan / James Beatty

Hi everyone.  I'm searching for information on James Beatty.  I found him in a 1901 census in house 7 in Kilmore West (Aghabog, Monaghan) along with his wife Anne Jane Beatty (nee Doran) and five children., Susan Jane, John, Robert Hamilton, Annie Mary and James.  In 1914 my grandfather (Robert Hamilton Beatty) emigrated to Canada aboard the S.S. Grampian bringing with him his mother and sister Annie.  Anne Jane was listed on the manefest as being a widow.  Susan and John emigrated to Canada in 1906 and James in 1927.

I have been unable to find any record of the family between the census in 1901 and the sailing of the Grampian in 1914.  I cannot find a death record of James nor a 1911 census for the family.

If anyone can help me, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

I would like to pass on my condolences to Anjo.  We have never met (we are second cousins once removed just as I was with Indi).  I met Indi through RootsChat and we became instant friends.

I would also like to thank sdbadger for her help in finding the circumstances of Indi's passing.  I would appreciate it if someone could pass on my email address to anjobanjo or to Indi's sister-in-law.

I miss you Indi. XOXOX
Dave

I am so very sorry to hear of the Indi's passing.  I met her on RootsChat in September of 2009.  We were second cousins once removed.  We exchanged many emails and enjoyed a few chats over the phone.  She was trying to locate "Alldridge" cousins.  She sent me information on my BHC Grandmother Ruth Rebecca Alldridge and her siblings.

I knew she was trying to go back to England for a visit with her sister and I thought she had finally got her passport in order to make the trip.  I called many times in June but only got her voice mail.  I then tried to locate her son and daughter an to my total shock, discovered her obituary.  I have been trying to get a hold of her son or daughter with no success.

If anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it.

Rest peacfully Pam,  Thanks for everything.

Hi Indi,
I am a grandson of Ruth Rebecca Aldridge and Samuel George Scott.  I have just recently started to research my family tree.  What an interesting and challenging undertaking.

There seems to be a continuous spelling issue with the name Aldridge and Alldridge.  On information that I have found on the children that immigrated to Canada, even the children do not spell it consistently.

I received a copy of a letter from a cousin that is not dated or signed.  It appears to be written by a grandchild of John Leonard Aldridge.  The letter refers to the struggles of his grandpa once he arrived in Canada and a little about the other children (Middlemore Children).  I would like to track down the person who wrote the letter.

I would love to hear from you.
