Thanks very much for that.  Will take a look at your suggestion.  If you can find any information on the Church, that would be wonderful. :)

Has been very interesting reading the threads for this topic. James Carroll was also my great grandfather, so Cesca, we must be cousins! Another cousin of mine in Australia has actively researched our family history on and off for the last 30 years or so. He does intend to publish a book of his findings but not sure we he is at with all that? Anyhow, nice to establish contact!
John

Hi John,  So James Carroll is your g.grandfather also.  James married Fanny Abbott and they had 16 children, one of them being my grandmother Rose Ellen Carroll.  I presume your cousin in Australia who has been researching for some years is Tim.  I am in regular contact with Tim and we have been sharing information about the Carroll tree.

Would love to hear from you again - you can send me a personal message if you wish.  Would love to know what you have found out about  the Carroll family.  I have compiled a large family tree of the Carroll family.

Regards

Cesca

Waterford / Church of Ireland Churches, Kinsalebeg 1902
« on: Thursday 05 November 09 16:10 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone know how I can find out the name(s) of the Churches (Church of Ireland denominatin) in Kinsalebeg.  One of my ancestors was a vicar at Kinsalebeg from 1878 - 1902.  Have no ideas as to which parish it was.

He died in 1904, and I would presume that it was in/and around the area of Kinsalebeg, as that was his last ministerial appointment prior to his death.

Another point, does anyone have access to 1901 census for Kinsalebeg area?

Thanks in anticipation to anyone who can help me in any way.

cheers
Cesca :)

hi corisande, yes that is the article i was referring to.  i have emailed  the lodge in the hope that they may have some archived records which may give a little more information about Rev Charles Carroll.  shall have to wait and see.  in the meantime have been searching the web for anything more on him i can find and have come up with mention of him in the university of dublin calendar for 1894 where he is shown in the section 'subscribers to graduates' tercentenary memorial' as being a benefactor to Trinity college in the sum of £5.5s.0d.  he is shown as Carrol, Rev. Charles M.D.  i wonder how much that is now!

any thoughts about the entry regarding the masons lodge and charles carroll?
thanks for your info
cheers
