Thank you, Ev. Looked at death certificate again and may be colbin which could have been colbill.  Neil was a tailor. wm and cordelia's marriage is listed in barony, he being a shoemaker in anderston. Think of why they may have dropped the Mc on the innes? I'm a bit new to name variations.

Appreciate the help you have already given and I will look into that further!

Looking for help locating ggggrandfather Neil Innes and his wife, Agnes Coburn. They are listed on my gggrandfather's death certificate. All I have found on my gggrandfather, William has indicated his birth in Campbeltown abt 1811 but cannot find his birth or anything on his parents. Also gggrandmother, Cordelia McLean(born abt 1812) is from Campbeltown per census info but nothing on her either

Cordelia's parents: William Innes & Mary Sterment married April 26, 1867 at 22 John St., Cartsdyke, Greenock. He was 26 and she was 20. They lived at the same address. Do have copy of marriage certificate. My cousin has the family bible which states Rev. Andrew McFarlan, Minister Nicholson St U P Church, Greenock, Scotland married them. Bible also lists Cordelia's marriage to William in 1895 at 13th St., Eddystone, PA, USA by Rev M. J. McLeod. Having this info in the bible, I have not ordered a marriage certificate. There is nothing in this bible about any grandchildren just William and Mary's children.

Where did you get the info on the 2 children born and died in Eddystone?

Have no info on Mary born in Hutchesontown  May 8, 1903. When did you find them coming to US and where in PA as I will look further here. Hope it is close to home and I can find some living relatives.

Thanks,
Jane

Thank you. Her grandmother's name was Cordelia as well as an aunt in Scotland and a niece in Pennsylvania, USA. I think I got the births from scotlandspeople.gov but am wondering about the children you said were born in Eddystone, PA, USA and died there... William and David. Also, once back in Scotland I have only come up with them having 3 children, Mary (8/5/1903), David (29/6/1905) and William (1910) but could have missed one. Had hoped the family contacted in Scotland would send me family details I do not have yet or correct. Did get some but know things are missing. Have no info on Mary but do have marriages and children for David and grandchildren as well for William.

Glad to see your message. Am sure this Cordelia is my grandmother's sister. Have not found where they had any children here in US. What was your source on that? I have checked the Eddystone, PA 1899 directory but only find other family members. Of course they could have been living with her parents. Have been in touch with great grandchildren of Cordelia and understand someone did family research on Eagle family although have not received any further info after sending them what I had. Our Cordelia was born in Strone and my grandmother in Blairmore.

Thank you, Val. Cordelia was my grandmother's sister. There were 7 children. Whole family came to USA but Cordelia's boyfriend, Wm Eagle followed, married her here and took her back to Scotland. Am looking for info on their children-Mary, David, and Wm. Are you related?
I am going to Scotland in April to see where my grandparents grew up. My grandfather, Charles Deans was raised in Thornliebank. His parents were John Deans and Jane Neilson Hall. John's parents were Wm Deans ans Catherine Cochran.
Thanks a gain,
Jane
