Wow! Jay thank you for getting in touch.

I am in Nantwich now! Staying at The Crown.

I have a few pubs to visit as my 3rd x great grandfather seems to have worked in a few.

I will see what I can find about Percey if I find anything I will let you know.

Cheers, Ted

Hello from Australia,

I haven't been here for a while as other interests took over my research time. and I know this is an old thread so I am not hoping that many will see this - but I am UK for Christmas.

I haven't forgotten Pricilla and Martha Fitchett and I am going to Nantwich on the 2nd of January. to see in real life all the places they lived and worked.

I think Pigeons Inn is now the local boxing rink (if anyone knows for sure can they confirm or deny please) but the house is still there and the canal of course. I will be visiting the cemetery and the church and hopefully I will discover more about my most unusual branch of my family.

Thanks to everyone who helped in the past, if anyone is close and wants to meet me PM me for my phone number.

Love from Ted

Australia / Billy Freeman - the convict and a great big thank you
« on: Monday 20 November 23 06:50 GMT (UK)  »
The book has been published.

For everyone who has put up with me over the last 13 years. Thank you.

It was never my idea to publish Billy Freeman's story I just wanted to know about his trials.

But somehow through this amazing website I met his Sisters nephew - who wrote the book

The advanced copy landed in my letter box today. So with great delight I say a big fat THANK YOU

Special thanks to Cando

wow Lorraine,

You are the best.

I had not picked up that she was living with family.

This whole family looked after each other. I cant find a part of this family where there was no cares.

The last time I can find Theo.

Is in the 1861 Census. She is Theophia Chrawshaw (Chosher) a lodger widow aged 92.

Living with William and Ann Spencer, in The Village - William is a Framework knitter.  William is 71 and Ann is 65.

Was Ann her carer?

I searched the census and I think she was with people who cared.

How do I find where she died?

Should I make this a new post?

Thanks everyone for you help

Cheers Ted
