Yes, there are many distant relatives, some of whom I am in contact with.
My paternal grandfather was the only member of his family to leave the UK.

Good morning,
Thanks so much for your reply. I don't have a photo of Bertie, but would like one if that is possible.
We were not aware of the Rodd connection until I began family history research. As William and Bertie lost their mother in 1907 my father was not aware of his aunt Mary. As a result I know very little about the family.

Hello to richards13,
Thank you so much for the information on the Rodd brothers. You have made my day and I now have a photo of William as well!
The article also gave me some added information on my relatives.

Do you have an interest in the Rodd family or are you another generous researcher?
Thanks again for you help

Hello Morgan,
Thanks for your tips. I am hoping to find other researchers of this family as well as useful resources along the way.  The names I mentioned would all be deceased by now.
Cheers

Hello,
Is anyone familiar with any of the descendants of George SMITH and Emma BALL who lived in Cardiff from 1875 to about 1941. Many of these SMITH family members were involved in the Hotel industry.
Names were:-  Frances Georgina, Charles Bevan Winsdon, James Mastin, Hannah Maria, George Stephen, Thomas Edgar (an architect) and Ernest Edward.
Cheers

To all those who helped with tips earlier in the year. Thanks so much as I have finally proved the the Mary Ball in question was indeed my great aunt.  Her son Bertie was listed on the 1911 census living with his cousin, who was also my Dad's cousin.
Another brick wall finally smashed.
Cheers
