London and Middlesex / Duplicate baptism??
« on: Friday 18 March 22 20:19 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All
Emma Mary Delasalle was born 9 September 1855 at Islington and baptized 23 September 1855

Emma is on FreeBMD website, but Eliza is not.

Eliza Olive Delasalle was born 9 September 1855, at Islington and baptized 3 June 1855.

The names of their parents, the abode, the occupation of father, etc. are identical.

I can find no other record for Emma Mary, but can follow Eliza through census records to her death.

Are these the same children with just a different name decided upon?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Australia / Tasmania Lookup Please - Richard LOVELL
« on: Wednesday 08 July 20 19:01 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone
Several trees on A*y have a birthdate of Richard as 3 October 1870 in Bakers Creek, Tasmania with no sources provided.  His parents were, I believe, John Isaac Lovell and Sarah Ann Bell.

The Australia Cemetery Index gives his age as 77 when he died in 1939, thus a birthdate of 1862.

I have information on his spouse and children, but the birthdate is elusive.  The family for years resided in Victoria, Huon.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Would appreciate an age on this one, hoping for the mid 1800s.
The height of the gent would determine which husband of Harriets this is, might be fun to have a guess.
We would also appreciate if there is any way to spruce up the photo some
Many thanks

Australia / FRANCIS, C/Katherine, South Australia
« on: Sunday 25 March 18 03:47 BST (UK)  »
Peter and Catherine (snr) Francis arrived in Adelaide in 1866,  along with Michael their only surviving child, having lost two babes on the voyage to whooping cough.
I can find two births following their arrival, Elizabeth 1869 and Margaret 1871.
However, on the death certificate of Catherine Sr., (1898) there is mention of a daughter Katherine, age 31 (thus born ~ 1867) along with the other children.
Peter died in SA in 1873, so I'm thinking C/K must have been born there also.
After his death, Catherine (snr) moved with her children to Young, NSW.

Any suggestions as to where one would look further to find this birth?
Is it possible it did not get registered because it was so close to their arrival in Australia, or?

All comments welcome, and thanks for reading.

It would be appreciated if someone could remove the "blob" from his wee forehead.
I'm told his hair was brown and curly.
Many thanks for your efforts.

This is a great photo of my hubby's Dad.
Would it be possible to remove the scribbles on his face?
I appreciate any help you can give.

I would appreciate it if the horizontal lines were removed and the photo made a little more focused, if that is possible.
Thank you all so very much, in advance, for your efforts.

Hi
This photo was taken about 1921 in NSW, Australia.
It is my Dad who was born in 1905.
It would be lovely to be able to see him more clearly, but perhaps I just need new glasses.
Your hard work is very much appreciated.
